What is TrustMark?

TrustMark is the only UK Government-Endorsed Quality Scheme for work carried out in and around the home.

TrustMark was started in 2005 to drive up standards across the home improvement sector and improve the protection offered to homeowners. They’re a not-for-profit social enterprise meaning they focus on tradespeople and homeowners. Profits are continually reinvested into the scheme to improve service levels and enhance consumer protection.

As a TrustMark Scheme Provider, we commit to meeting the operating requirements of their Quality Scheme. As part of our commitment to supporting our members, they can join TrustMark for free as part of their HIES membership.

What are the benefits of using a TrustMark registered business?

We work with our TrustMark Registered Businesses to ensure they commit to and maintain the required standards of technical competence, trading practices and customer service.

These practices help to provide assurance and confidence for homeowners when they engage a TrustMark Registered Business and for trades, it helps to demonstrate their quality and professionalism.

As a TrustMark Scheme Provider, we license and work with their TrustMark Registered Businesses to ensure they commit to and maintain the required standards of technical competence, trading practices and customer service.

TrustMark understands that dealing with disputes can be stressful and their priority is to help consumers achieve fair, timely and cost-effective solutions. Their role is not to investigate specific consumer complaint. We work closely with TrustMark and our Registered Businesses, to ensure that the correct processes and procedures within the TrustMark scheme have been followed.
